A reseller is a customer record that other customers are linked to. PracBill reports the commission the reseller has earned on those customers' invoices; it does not create the credit or payment for you. Commission is either a flat percentage of sales or, per product or service, an amount from a commissions price book.
Skip this if a flat percentage of everything is enough.

| Field | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Override | Ticked: the amount is a flat dollar figure. Unticked: it is a percentage. |
| Price / Amount | Ongoing commission per invoice line, two decimal places. Enter 10 for 10%. |
| Signup Price | Commission on services connected in the report period. Same override rule. |
| Commission After (months) | Delay before ongoing commission starts. |
| Clawback Period | If set (for example 3 months), commission already paid is reversed for a service that ends within that window of its start date. |
New services usually generate two charges on the first invoice (pro rata plus a full month). A flat Override amount is paid on each of them, so the first commission is doubled.
Service type NBN EE, price $500, cost $400. Reseller gets 50% on signup, then a trail.
| Price book row | Amount | Override | Signup Amount | Signup Override | Result |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 5% trail | 5 | off | 50 | off | Signup $250, ongoing $25 |
| $5 trail | 5 | on | 50 | off | Signup $250, ongoing $5 (first pro rata invoice $10) |

On each customer the reseller signed up, set Reseller under Acquisition Details to the reseller's record. Commission is paid on that customer and on any Sister Company of it.

The reseller only appears in Customers once at least one customer is linked to it. For paid-only resellers, report on Last Quarter and schedule it for the 15th of the following month so customers have time to pay.
The report picks invoices created in the period and then checks whether they are paid. An invoice paid very late may miss the commission.
